Are you a foodie looking for a new and exciting dish to try? Or perhaps you’re a fan of Indo-Chinese cuisine? Look no further than Gobi Manchurian, a popular and flavorful dish made with spiced and fried cauliflower florets.
Not only is this dish a delicious appetizer, it’s also a popular street food in India and has gained popularity around the world. But what exactly is it and how can you make it at home? Let’s take a closer look.
What is Gobi Manchurian?
Gobi Manchurian is a dish that originated in India and is a fusion of Chinese and Indian flavors. Coat cauliflower florets in a spiced batter and deep fry them until crispy. Then sauté the fried gobi in a sauce made with a mixture of soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato sauce, along with other spices and vegetables like onion, garlic, and capsicum. The end result is a dish that’s crispy, spicy, and bursting with flavor.
How to Make Gobi Manchurian at Home
Gobi Manchurian is a popular Indo-Chinese dish that has two versions – dry and gravy. The recipe provided in the blog post is for the dry version of Gobi Manchurian.
Deep-fry cauliflower florets coated with spiced flour batter and sauté them in a flavorful sauce to make the dry version of Gobi Manchurian. This version of the dish serves as an appetizer or snack and usually has a crispy and dry texture.
On the other hand, the gravy version of this dish is made by adding more liquid to the Manchurian sauce, making it more saucy and less crispy. To make the gravy version, you can simply add more corn flour to the Manchurian sauce while cooking, which will thicken the sauce and give it a gravy-like consistency.
The choice between dry and gravy versions is entirely up to personal preference. Some people prefer the crispy texture of the dry version, while others like the saucy texture of the gravy version. It is also important to note that the cooking time and method for both versions are slightly different, and one must follow the recipe instructions carefully to achieve the desired texture and flavor.
Gobi Manchurian is a delicious and versatile dish that can be customized to one’s liking. Whether you prefer the dry or gravy version, this dish is sure to be a hit at any gathering or party.
Let’s take a look at how you can make it at home.
