Falooda, a well-known Indian dessert, is made with Sev or Vermicelli, Rose Syrup, Basil seeds, Milk, and ice cream on top. This delectable dessert has numerous variations across Asian countries, with some replacing basil seeds with sabu dana. It’s an excellent option for anyone with a sweet tooth and a craving for something cold.

A delightful and refreshing drink, Fruit Falooda topped with ice cream is a divine treat. You can learn how to make Falooda with step-by-step instructions and images.

Masth Benefits

Basil seeds or Tulsi seeds, found in Basil Seed Falooda, have numerous health benefits, including controlling coughs, boosting immunity, and aiding in weight loss. To make it healthier, fruits can be added according to personal preferences and availability in the market.

Masth Tip

Pour rose syrup on the sides of the glasses and keep them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to get a cool look. Also, prepare everything beforehand and keep it in the fridge. Assemble it just before serving.

For Ice Cream Falooda, boil vermicelli in water for 5 minutes and rinse it in cold water. Soak Sabja seeds in water for around 30 minutes and drain them once a gelatin-like coating has formed around them. Whisk together cold milk and rose syrup and add cooked vermicelli and soaked basil seeds, keeping them in the refrigerator. Reserve some soaked Sabja seeds.

To begin with the assembly of Falooda, firstly, layer the bottom of a glass with a generous amount of your favorite fruits. Next, add a sprinkle of soaked Sabja seeds, followed by a layer of colorful jelly. Then, gently pour the prepared rose milk over the fruit and jelly layers. Finally, top it off with a creamy scoop of ice cream and add a drizzle of Rooh Afza for that extra burst of flavor. To make it more visually appealing, garnish it with a handful of nuts, fruits, and jelly on top. If you’re making multiple servings, repeat this same process for all other glasses. And lastly, chill it well and serve!

Falooda is a delicious dessert that can be enjoyed by everyone. With its health benefits, variety of flavors, and ease of preparation, it’s a must-try for anyone looking for a sweet and refreshing treat.
