How to Make Stuffed Potato Flatbread Aloo Paratha

Aloo Paratha is a popular Indian flatbread stuffed with spiced mashed potatoes, and it is a perfect dish for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Aloo Paratha has its roots in the Indian subcontinent, where it is a staple food in many households. It is believed to have originated in the Punjab region of India, where it was commonly eaten as a breakfast or lunch dish. The dish has since spread to other parts of the country and the world, and has become a popular street food in many cities.
Masth Tips and Tricks to make Aloo Paratha:
- Use good quality potatoes that are starchy and have a smooth texture. Avoid using waxy potatoes as they don’t mash well and can make the filling lumpy.
- Don’t overstuff the paratha with the potato filling as it can burst open while cooking. Use just enough filling to cover the dough evenly.
- Dust the paratha with flour while rolling it out to prevent it from sticking to the surface or tearing.
- Cook the paratha on medium-high heat to ensure that it cooks evenly and has a crispy texture.
- Use ghee or oil generously while cooking the paratha to make it more flavourful and crispy.
Cumin powder is known for its digestive properties and helps in reducing bloating and gas. Turmeric powder is a natural anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties that can boost immunity. Chilli powder is rich in capsaicin, a compound that can reduce inflammation and improve heart health. Coriander leaves are a good source of vitamin C and K, and can help in digestion and detoxification. All of these spices together make Aloo Paratha a delicious and nutritious dish.
